The main reason why I don't insulate our iguanas cages, is because I want them to be able to have an open view and not boxed in. Would you rather live in a room with no windows, or one with alot of windows? With only 3 sides walled, it would seem to me, as if I was making my iguanas live in a prison cell. How enjoyable can that be for the iguanas? They come from wide open forest and we house them in small boxes.
That last sentence, I think about alot and it upsets me. Although all of our iguanas are rescued ones, I still think about the fact, I have a reptile living in a cage, that in the wild would be free and living in a large open area. Is it really right for us to cage and keep these reptiles? It's just something I ponder with......
