Wow...gout & liver probs..WHAT IS IN THE WATER??? so many igs are having heavy duty problems these days! How long has X been on the Colc anti-gout med? Shouldn't be used long term...Might have diarrhea vomiting you'll need to notify vet if it continues ... give the Colc WITH FOOD and make sure X is getting good hydration. The Milk Thistle perscribed sure doesn't seem like much at all...just thinking how I take about 550 mg a day ;-) (80% Silymarin) Might also want to check out Dandelion Root Tea (add fresh dandelion root to salad, boil the roots and use the tea as drinking water or pour it over the salad which I used on Juana when her uric acid levels were elevated, and cut down in an EXTREME way the purines from X's diet...like legumes and whole grain breads, cereals ...and wishing Xavier a super quick recovery from this gout!
