I don't have a whole lot to offer you on this med business. I can caution you, however, on the gout stuff. I don't know which med my dad was on for gout recently but they took him off of it because they thought it might be causing his bouts of nausea and diarrhea (as side effects of it). So be watchful on this.
You might try posting to the monitor forum and ask if someone has good experience working with fatty liver disease. I don't know that a monitor and an iguana liver would be all that different but I believe there are more cases of liver trouble with monitors than with iguanas. And bearded dragon folk may have some input because dragons tend to have liver problems.
Not much help here but what could you expect of a Cowboys fan after all??? *grin*
