Sneakers did this also. I think its just a testing period. When Sneakers bit me, he got exactly what he didn't want. Tons of holding, petting, and touching right after he bit me. He learned real quick that biting did not make me go away but quite the opposite. LOL Have never had any problems in biting since that testing period.
