Needs help with baby iguana which is pretty big.

i just got this new baby iguana who was totaly tame and easy to handle up untill i bought him. i handled him at the pet shop he was licking my fingers and everything. once i leave him in his cage for a while and come back to handle him he flips out on me and starts whipping me and running around like crazy.
