Agree with iz's mom it takes time but the benifits are well worth it.


: not to hurt your feelings, but he was prob'ly more terrifed than 'tame' *grin*

: it will take him some time to realize you are *not* a preditor who's gonna eat him for a snack! he needs some time to learn you are someone he can trust ...

: follow a set daily schedule, do the same things at the same time, in the same order everyday ... that will give him a chance to learn what to expect + will help him relax a bit ...

: lots of careful, gentle handling so he gets used to you ... it takes alot more work + patience than it does with a dog or cat, so don't get discouraged too fast ok? he'll probably feel safer *up* on your shoulder than sitting in your lap ... move slow around him so you don't startle him, no loud or sudden noises ...

: remember, he's awfully little compared to you + he's scared to death you're gonna hurt him ... give him time to learn to trust you ... this is a very new thing for him ... as well as you!
