I'm back from a trip in Cuba and there, I caught an Iguana about 2 1/2 or 3 feets long(one feet snout to vent lenght).I caught it near the beach.the body/tail ratio was shorter than the common green iguana. It was dark brown, with some darker stripes on the flancs and black bands on the tail( like the green iguana). The tail was'nt smouth:with spiny scales on the SIDES of the tails.the neck, back, and tail crest was'nt really elaborate compared to the green iguana. The residents Cubans told me that they eats fish and crabs....are they a kind of sea Iguanas?what kind of iguana subspecie was that ???Also, I've seen a lot of greens and brown anoles, little pale geckos and little black and yellowish/white banded swifts with a curly tail that lives on rocks....pretty quick guys, never caught one of those.Amazingly, every thing that is smaller of an iguana is called "salamandra" in spanish, by the Cubans. Please help me to found a name to my Iguana( I don't have took it back to Canada, just realease it back to his natural Carribean habitat). thank in advance
