Excellent ideas....expanding on the visiting hunting/fishing stores...stores that sell camping equipment, survival, emergency preparedness stores also have a selection of heating alternatives i.e catalytic heaters (for use in tents) can be rigged up, heat packs (ventilation is needed when in use).Having a generator will be helpful and a colemon cook stove invaluable like you mentioned.Boil large rocks put a towel over them to protect iggy from touching them will raise temps in an enclosure altho prolly not for long, covering enclosures with quilted moving blankets, mylar(?) first-aid thermal blankets to help retain heat...a few more ideas. Amazing how much I take for granted being here in L.A. (no extreme inclement weather) but...with Y2K ya never know. We've been reassured by utility cos. over here that *they* are prepared...nonetheless Im a little skeptical. Have everything except a generator :-( ....ready for use. Wonder if I should make a cape for Juana & Feo out of one of the many first aid thermal blankets I have....Up Up and away!!!
