Questions about egg laying

A few questions:
When do female igs develope eggs and then lay them? And how old is an ig when they start laying? How long does the whole process take? When is breeding season? I read for captive raised igs it was late winter/early spring, is that true? Sorry for all the questions, and thanks for the help.
