the vet should put your ig on antibiotics ...
keep him warm (90 degrees) while he's healing and quiet ... as *little* stress as possible ... no loud noises aroundhim etc ... make sure he's getting food + water, he may not feel as hungry since his leg hurts but he needs his calories and fluids ...

some excellent ig care sites ~ good diet info, etc!
