Either the accident which broke the igs leg, was very hard or your iguana might have diet problems. Broken limbs are not common with a iguana who has the proper diet. I would have both a fecal and blood work done on this iguana. I was also make sure I fine a GOOD reptile vet. Ask questions such as "how many iguanas do you see a week?" What's the major foods for an iguana?" What's the most common problems with iguana that you see? If he can answer these without stumbling, then I'd say go ahead and try using him as a vet. If he can't answer these simple questions, look elsewhere. The fecal test with determine if your iguana has worms. The blood test will show numerous things, diet levels, dehydration levels, infection levels, etc.. although it's not a cheap test, it's worth every cent to have done. If you have questions about diet, lighting, temperatures, etc.... for your iguana, ask away here at the forum, plenty of people here with a load of information that can help both you and your iguana.
Best wishes
