regarding how frequently to give calcium ... it'd be a good investment to have some blood work done and find out what his calcium level is and that will give you a much more definitve answer ... it's gonna vary so much from ig to ig ... iZ also had a really rough 1st year of life til he moved in with me ... had blood work done after i'd had him about 6 mo and his calcium level was high enough just from diet alone ... enough so that i had to cut back on his collard greens (his FAV!) ...
especially if MBD is a concern, get the blood work ... if Elmo's phosphorus is too high, you need to know that too and can address that AND the calcium ...
