Pete...I'd suggest contacting Kevin Egan (NYC)over at Iguana Den...he takes calls late evenings and can point you to some ig rescue & rehabbers in the area. I believe his number is posted at his site (link below)...I think that the best thing for this ig is placement somewhere else...where it can get the knowledgeable care it desparately needs. 6 months is a long wait for him. And then given what you know about him....you may be strapped with future medical bills. You are a very special kind heart a rarity these days.I don't know if taking this ig is something you want to commit yourself too. Help her help herself...by providing her with numbers of local ig rescues. They will provide more than adequate care and find a suitable placement. Rescues also appreciate any caging, heating lighting supplies that the ig may have used. Best wishes.
