Two out of three cages I have, the lights and heaters are hanging from chains. But units in each cage are placed so that the iguanas can't climb on them but yet, they get the needed UVB ( which should be no more then 18" away from the iguana) With the chains, if an iguana would try to reach for one to climb, they would find out it would swing away from them; making it almost impossible to climb ( as long as the surfaces are smooth, such as with a dome reflector)
