We have three igs all of whom are about the same age. One of them grew really fast. He was also the one that adapted quickly, started eating when we first got him, so forth and so on. The other igs are both about the same size and eat the same food.
Size is determined by : food, environment, stress, not necessarily by age. Our vet said that it is extremely hard to determine an igs age soley by size.
Also, a diet high in proteins will cause rapid growth, but unfortunately, a premature death.
You may need to consider that:
1-Someone is not telling the truth or doenst know the truth
2-Regardless of its environment, the ig could have had a diet that caused rapid growth
3-The ig could just be a hardy animal, that despite everything else, he just grew. CW
