Wow,,space heaters are scarey period.We do have the occassional need for one but I can't think of a safe place to put a space heater with a free roamer in the same room.Ours are free roamers during the day ,but get put into their cages at nite so we don't have the problem with heating a room.Usually in our lizard room,,,all the CHE's and heat pads seem to keep the room warm enough at nite not to need one.Wish I could be more help.Can you just put him in his cage at nite??then free roam him during the day with basking set ups???
