: Most of the time I can only FIND bagged salads and veggies. The bagged stuff contains mostly lettuce or spinach, so except in emergencies, I don't get them. Since the only fresh stuff always available isn't too good for him (Broccoli, cabbage, lettuce) or he refuses to even look at (parsley) and many of the veggies aren't even available here. I have developed a diet that uses mostly frozen veggies(with vitamin supps) and mix in whatever fresh stuff I can find, like squash and spring peas etc. Then I freeze that in portions. I can usually get collards, but that's about it, so I try to feed hibiscus flowers and leaves a couple times aweek, if I CAN'T get anything else for a day or so, I will give him lettuce (also for a treat once in a while. I've found that he will eat frozen turnip greens if there is nothing else. I haven't tried canned stuff yet. Hopefully, I'll never have to!
