: I like your website. I worry some of your information is a little off (your iguana is in danger with his diet). You have a good set up although your ig will outgrow it in less than a year. Your lights are the best (excellent choice) and nice decorations. Your ig, if properly fed and cared for will grow to be 5-6 feet. The vitamin spray does not do anything--separate vitamin and calcium supplements spinkeled on the food are better for this. Perhaps you were simplifying with stating you feed lettuce-- but the greens your ig needs are a combination of 2 or more of collard greens, mustard greens, escarole, watercress, dandelion. Supplement with squashes, sweet potatoes, and very little fruit (melons are good). Bread is okay for a treat (tiny bit once in awhile). AVOID bananas, kale, spinach, grapes, lima beans (harmful). Yours is still young enough that you can grow a beautiful 6 foot iguana out of that little guy! Start thinking of where you will keep one that size because he will grow quickly (either need huge cage or potty train him and make him a free roamer! Good luck and this forum is a great place to ask any questions you might have. James Hatfield has an excellent and accurate iguana care manual out in bookstores-- highly reccommend it!
