i'm gonna jump in and *guess* that it prob'ly IS food that's coloring the saliva ... and that the saliva/foam does sound like a reaction to the pup if that is the ONLY time you're seeing it ...
bits of food can remain "stuck" in the corner of an ig's mouth for a couple days ~ just the way their mouth/tongue are made ~ they don't really lick the inside of their mouth like we do, like dogs do ...
can you look in your ig's mouth like Gina suggested??? it wouldn't be a bad idea to get him in for a check-up and end the worrying that way!
and like Gina pointed out ~ igs + dogs don't mix well! especially a playful puppy looking for a toy ... eeeeeeeeeek! take the time now to teach the pup that the ig is NOT to be messed with in ANY WAY ... and NEVER let your guard down!
Milo-puppy is VERY respectful of iZ and will back away from him when iZ is roaming on the livingroom floor ~ actually, i'm more afraid for Milo's nose than i am for iZ ~ but they are not together unsupervised ...
dogs are smart + CAN learn to leave certain other animals alone! (not that you can totaly trust them to do that, but they can learn you expect it ...) ... Milo-puppy used to have a Walker Coon Hound as a friend who'd come over to play sometimes ... at that point in time, i also had a little 5# dwarf bunny ... that Coon Hound was TERRIFED of little Bunster!!!! he KNEW to stay the hell away from him, period!!! ...
i don't know what i'm rambling on about ~ I think i need more caffiene now ...
Bon.
