I use these for my tort, and will use them for my upcoming rock ig. I got them when they were called "Dragonlights". They produce BOTH heat and UV (when up close it actually produces more UV than the sun itself!) and don't need a special fixture. They are expensive but will save you money in the long run as you won't need to buy: a fluorescent fixture, a new fluorescent bulb every 6 months, and a new heat bulb every 3 months. They last about 8000 hours each and at 12 hours a day thats 666.666666666666666667 days! Almost 2 years! My local zoo recomended it (Metro Toronto Zoo-Canada's largest) and I'm a firm believer! Not only that, but the UV brings out amazing colour details in all reptiles. I truly beleive that this is the best herp product EVER made. Also, you gotta love their logo.
