I just started building a cage for my 3 year old female
iggy " Cheek." So far the frame is almost finished. Wow
this thing is big! Dimensions 5.5'H x 5.5L x 3.5'W.
Please keep in mind the cage will be located in my
basement and this is as big as i could go. In addition
my iggy is only in there while I am at work. After I
come home from work out I take her out and let her roam.
I have two other herps (dumeril and a sav)
who also will reside in the basement also.
They're cages will be built at a later date.
The front of the proposed cage is the only
viewable area and will have two swinging framed glass doors.
Finally my question...
I plan on using A/C vents(the type that can open and close
with a lever so i can control the amount of air aND VENTILATION.
WHERE DO I PLACE THEM FOR THE BEST FLOW OF AIR? Top or bottom
of the cage?
I plan on using 2 on opposite sides built in frame
with a small screen covering the louvers
so iggy will not inadvertently scratch herself.
One more question should i place another regular vent
(non closeable) in the back wall.
This cage is going to be awesome but i need your help
and suggestions. When i finish i post a picture..
Thanks in advance.
Martin
