: First of all, what type of material are you using to build the cage? If it is wood, I would strongly suggest using more ventilation.....like not having it enclosed....If the humidity levels are correct, that could cause mold growth without the proper circulation of air.......which can be pretty tough to maintain......I would and usually use some type of plastic coated hardware cloth around a wood or pvc frame.......and to make sure that the humidity is right, I use hot air humidifiers. You spoke of the a/c vents for air circulation, but did not explain how you are using them. I don't want to offer advice on that until I have a better understanding of exactly how you plan to use that system.
: Lastly, I would strongly discourage the use of glass doors....especially if your ig is used to free-roaming. Your ig will see the reflection of another ig in the glass, and be likely to attack it, which can do some serious damage. The size dimensions sound great. I hope I'm not sounding to criticizing. Just offering advice!

I am here to learn and exchange. I have no ego
nor am I sensitive thanks for responding.
The cage is being constructed with plywood.
The bottom will be tiled for ease of cleaning
and should resist moisture. The sides will
be sealed and treated to resist moisture.
I plan on using a rain mist Jr. to maintain
humidity levels.
In addition my iggy is a couch potato, she was
raised in aquariums so glass is not a problem.
She moves when she is hungry and always adapted
well after a while to new environments.
Now back to the ventilation issue what have
you done or what can to you offer as advice?
