Carrie, if you can steel yourself against the bad feelings you have right now for your vet, it might be that he could help explain to you just what this necropsy means. It would seem to me, and I'm no vet, that there is no evidence of you somehow over-doing the Vitamin D3 thing. (I'm a bit confused if this report is referring to D3 or calcium in general.) I've seen questions on the Iguana Mailing List re the spray on vitamins (and here). People who have researched it have said that it is a waste of money frankly. But if the problem arose from the use of this spray, then it cannot follow that the spray has no real value in it as a supplement to reptiles.

I'm happy that Juby is going to get the whole report up at the community page. If you don't mind, when it is up I'd like to ask Ann Marsden to take a look at it. There's a post down below from JBug re Ann's credentials :o) Maybe she can sort all of it out and put it in to terms that we can all understand. She's really good at that LOL I could c/p your description of vitamins/light and his overall health just prior to succumbing so that she'd have that info to compare it to what she's seeing in the report. If it's alright with you and Anne has the time to read the report & analyze it, I don't mind asking her for the help.
