: While iguanas seem like fragile animals, they'll surprise you with how tenacious (sp?) they can be. Awhile back, someone posted here about a baby iguana that escaped and for months it lived through 50 degree weather and was found alive and well.
: Don't assume the lizard's a goner! It's probably alive and kicking. Don't give up and good luck on finding it!

I don't know if you mean the guy up in Canada (I think). He was the one had a sick ig who wouldn't eat. Posted for help then put the ig outside in a birdcage or something. Ig escaped, he was frantic. He kept kicking himself over and over. Temps got down to freezing that night and with the ig being sick we all feared the worse. Guy searched for a couple of days no luck. He was sure the ig was dead and totally blamed himself. Two weeks later or so the guy posts back. Ig showed up in the driveway under the car, ALIVE!. Temps during the period the ig was out were very cold at night. Somehow that ig, that wasn't in the best of condition to begin with, survived.

Goes to show you can never count these guys out.
