I've been trying to figure out how to ask the very questions that Gina did of you! I know this is like poking a stick in a sore for you....but please know that there are many of us who appreciate greatly what you have shared with us and what knowledge you impart will help many other iguanas. Gina asked if your supplement contained D3 and about your UVB (natural). I am also curious if you used the UVB tubes and if so, what brand and %. I've been reading recently that some of the "super" kind (over 5%) may actually be harmful if used as most of us use our UVB tubes (12-14 hrs on). Please, please...remember none of these questions should be viewed as questioning your husbandry. I think a lot of us are running scared right now re our own iguanas because of our own usage of supplements, etc.

I understand your anger re these findings...I, too, would be angry. Just don't turn it inward. There's no reason to do so; you followed the care guidelines as we know them and they failed you; you didn't fail TRex.

Thank you again for being kind enough to share the information with us. May we all learn something from your tragedy. My heart goes out to you and I hope you will begin to find some comfort from happy memories of your time with your baby.
