What does he have to say on amount and number of times based on age or condition?

I just read the site I gave Penny and I should be using calcium at least 3 more times a week than I do :o) However, I know from L's blood panel that her calcium level was fine.

Penny - this is why it is complicated! If your diet is a good 2:1, UVB and sun is used, etc. etc. some people DON'T supplement adults and their igs are fine. Some feel confident in supplementing 1-2x a week based on diet, etc. What we all usually wind up doing is studying and researching and then deciding what is best in OUR situation. This is whether we are talking about vitamins or diet or whatever. And a lot of us have questioned the advice given by herp vets...they are sometimes behind in the latest info on iguanas...of course, that situation has to be handled very carefully as we don't want to step on toes :o)

Anyway....what does Hatfield have to say on the subject of supplementing?
