Paul what an excellent idea! Keep those grades up! Nothing like working on the inside and working on the owners to change some of their policy. Im thinking of doing it myself (if I can squeeze in some more time )There's a few local pet shops I'd like to help out at.You might try soliciting the help of NIAD for suggestions...any change will be slow...so keep your expectations low. Encourage the owners to buy captive bred USA iguanas and tell them about the benefits of having physically sound, parasite free reptiles in their shop vs import.Bottom line you will more than likely find yourself very frustrated as nothing is more important in the pet shop trade than making a buck! Isn't capitolism wonderful! I'm sure NIAD will help you anyway they can.
