Amputate it...go with the vet who is willing to do this. Chances are that she either re taumatized/injured the tail tip or it was not adequately amputated in the first place causing the gangrene to spread. The amputation must be done approx. 1 inch into the healthy part of the tail to stop the spread of tail rot. Your igs tail WILL regenerate if amputated correctly ...no sutures to the amputated tail, may want to give an antibiotic (usually unneccessary) but better to be on the safe side right! Sometimes the vet may want to dress the stump...bandage it to control bleeding, protect the wound from external infection. Tail tip trauma and amputation is very common so not to worry. Some vets do reccomend just letting the tail rot ...to the point where it is simply twisted off but this is not very sound advice because it can reoccur and all the infection is not removed. I'd go with the amputation myself Emma.
