In reply to your questions. Yes they usually develope eggs with or without mating and they may lay, reabsorb, or become egg bound. Egg production usually starts around two, some a little later some earlier. It is important for you to get her in peak condition before this occurs as egging is very stressful and they sometimes go off food for as long as a month or more.
