Hi,

Last night we took Princess Zelda to the vet. If anyone remembers from a few days ago, she was new to me and due to improper care from her previous owner, She had developed what everyone here properly diagnosed as MBD! The vet said her fecal was clean and she didn't need a calcium shot. Just to keep supplementing her diet and lots and lots of sun. I shouldn't let her chimb or exercise much for 2 months until her legs are stronger. He said that she should regain the use of her toes and walk normal eventually because I caught it early enough! He also said that she was one of the most beautiful igs he had ever seen.
(Had to throw that one in. Mom's gotta brag!)

I do have a question that I forgot to ask the vet about. I've never had a female before and I was wondering what to expect as far as egg production. Will she lay eggs even without mating, or do they just get absorbed back into her body? And when does this happen? She's about a year or so. She weighs only one pound.

Thanks,
Leslie
