It'll depend upon the level & numbers of ownership...whether someone views an ig as a disposable pet or as a chersihed family member. I really have no answer for that question.
However, a grandfather clause would be great to instate..or if not just simply that, as the DOH's concerns about the igs being a health risk to the public (salmonella, bites, wotever...), instate a licensing program.
Anyhows...over on the NYAnimals list, we're trying to pool our thots and efforts together to help the NYC peeps.
We could really use some legal help too!
