Sounds like you're on the right track with all of the info that you've received so far. The only other thing I can think of (if you want to take it that far) is to put a call in to your local Dept Of Agriculture office, Div. of Animals, and put in a complaint. You mayalso want to contact your state vet. Now, knowing that you work in the store could present a problem depending on whether or not they disclose the originator of the complaint. But 33 iguanas, most likely in the same tank, HAS to constitute some form of abuse or cruelty.
Good luck with your little guy/gal. And definitely get him/her out into some sunlight even if you get a UV bulb set up in the near future. Sunlight will do wonders for the healing process. And feel free to come back if you run into more questions....
