i think a vet that won't immediately see an animal who has breathing problems, needs to find another profession ... what a jerk! find another vet!

the laying at the bottom of the tub looks scarier than it probably is ... igs can hold their breath for like 2 minutes and Cuddles ~prob'ly~ would not have drowned ... iZ has done that to me tho, and it scares ya bad!!!

i'd worry about the mouth breathing tho ... + this may sound dumb BUT ~ is she bloated up from needing to poop???? warm baths til she can pooop might help that ... sure wouldn't hurt ... (been there with iZ ... long story)

i'd say NO to the heat rock cuz they scare me + why risk it? ... if you're worried she's not warm enough i'd use a human heating pad set on "low" for her to sleep on ... since they're for humans, they're alot safer than heat rocks ...

and i'd say no to leaving the light on for her ... she'll rest better if it's dark and sounds like she needs some good rest ...

poor thing! i'm glad she's found her way to you! let us know how it's going ok??

best wishes!
iz + mom
