Scars? Now I am scared!

I just bought a baby ig 2 days ago (not my first. The other 2 died cause I was a 5 year old at the time.)! You see by the way you guys are talkiing about people getting scars makes me a little frightened of my lttle ig growing up and scratching the hell out of me. Aside from my fear of him growing up about how long will it take me to socialize my ig and how hard will it be on us both?
