Chances are when this so called "bluish iguana" grows up, it will be just a plain old green iguana. The whole idea behind blue iguanas are petstores marketing a "title" to a standard reptile. I could take a Mexican iguana and state that it's a rare "Brown and Black" iguana or make another statement "King Spike" iguanas (because of their long spikes) but in the end...they're just green iguanas and when they're iglets they pretty much look the same, it's when they start growing to adults is when you'll know from what region they come from.
Remember, pet stores have to come up with something to make them better than the store down the street.....if both are selling just plain old green iguanas, it's no big deal. But if one has BLUE iguanas, where do you think most people will buy their iguanas from??? People want something different than everyone else.....but what I can't understand is....if that's the case......why even look at a green iguana??? Nothing too rare about those reptiles...with millions in the US already!!
Oh.....maybe it's the cheap price.....rare and cheap......wow, ya just can't beat that, now can ya???!!!!!!!!
Geeeeeeez
