HI, all
I thought I'd add what I've heard from a couple different places....they are purely anecdotal, but it's food for thought. I'd never get a male neutered because of the very *idea*
Sometimes neutering a male iguana has the opposite affect, for this reason: It's not uncommon for males who have been neutered to still go through breeding season aggression; not to mention tat fact that he is now utterly weeble-lessand can do *NOTHING* to to make himself feel better and less frustrated. I, myself, recommend simply leaving an aggressive male alone as much as possible when in season, and giving him something to take out his aggressions and passions on. The LuvSock Delux (heheheh) has seen me through 2 breeding season with Bones, and I have no scars to show for it. My personal opionion is that neutering a male iguana is quite cruel and, in many cases, pointless. Just MHO. Food for thought.
Best,
Jamie/JBug
