: Our Fondue is literally criss crossed with scars on his belly, inner arms, under tail, and inside of legs. Everytime he sheds, we really need to keep at the shed to make sure it all comes away. Daily Baths are a must!!! if you really have a problem with the shed coming off, you can try some mineral oil rubbed on the area, or a warm wet washcloth rubbed on the area. I've also heard around this forum that K-Y Jelly is good as well, because it's water soluable, but I personally have no experience. You might want to ask around here if you want info on that. Good luck with the vet, and let us know how much blood you lose while you're there! Grin!

10 / 4 Juby. I once had a WC, 5.5' Eastern Diamondback that had apparently survrved a fire. Shedding this animal was a real project involving me and my cousin. After the snake was mostly shed out, we'd soak it for 3 or 4 hours, then I would hold it and David would pisk the scars out. Snake was NOT a happy camper and neither were we.
I released the snake and coincidently saw it the next spring. Caught it, and except for scraps in the seams, it looked like it was doing ok.
Am not too worried about the Garoot.
Will let ya know how it all comes out (or off, chuckle)
