When I read filthy's last couple of comments I started thinking about the liscenses (DEC?) that used to be required before buying ferrets, here in upstate NY at least. It did result in fewer ferrets being sold in pet stores, but at what risk?! If such a requirement were ever imposed for igs here, and upstate politicians suddenly got as fascist about herp keeping as their downstate counterparts, they'd have a list of every existing ig owner. Pretty frightening.
Compared to that, I think requiring an *accurate* care sheet to be distributed with each ig sale is pretty mild, as far as restrictive laws go. Sort of like the warning on a pack of cigarettes...
