Re: Light is flourescent, special for ultra-voilet for reptiles. Sleep doesn't seem th be affected. Will keep an eye on discolored skin. Thanks again. Will keep in touch.

: The people who had him before - we just found this out - had a Hot Rock in his tank. The skin on his belly shows a brownish discoloration. I thought at first that it was merely un-shed skin, but after several, weekly soakings it shows no sign of coming loose.

: Question: Was this a burn from the Hot Rock? It doesn't look anything like scar tissue. Could it be natural coloration? The area extends from the vent to about half way up the belly.

: Anyhow, many thanks. I think he'll let us live here a while longer. Will keep in touch.
