Just got home from our 4 1/2 hour trip to Yukon, Oklahoma, where Lizzy had her 28 EGGS (!!!) removed and was spayed. She looks so skinny and pitiful, but she's getting around better each day. She was spayed Monday morning. We stayed in the city for a couple of days, just in case there might be any problems. I could not believe the size of the eggs!! It seems impossible for all of those to have been inside her! Her ovaries already had new eggs forming on them. Unbelievable! The vet, Dr. Simmons, was fantastic. She was so good. She had not eaten in a month, but when I went to pick her up, I took her some fresh cilantro(her chocolate!) and she began to eat the same day as her surgery. She didn't eat much Tuesday, but she's a bottomless pit today! Thanks so much to everyone's information and support here. I'll continue to keep you posted. This is a great forum!
