I went to this big garden place today that has a childrens zoo. And they had a small iguana that had something really wrong with it. I could tell it was older than my iguanas because the big chin scale was bigger than my iguanas so it must have been at least 8 or 9 months old. It was only maybe 3 inches svl and that isn't the worest thing!! It tail looked like two "S" put together. What is this? I don't think it's MBD but i could be wrong. The reason I don't think it's MBD is because it looks just like something I saw in an iguana book (Iguana iguana) I can't remember what it's called but I think it was something like rickettes, am I close? They are selling it with another iguana in a 20 gallon tank with bowls and food for $25 (not a bad deal, but...)I want to do something but I know I couldn't keep either one for too long. Do you think I would be out of place for asking to take the sick one for free? What do you guys think I could do? I kind of get the feeling that they are selling it for someone which could make the free thing impossible. I know some of you will pobably think I am evil for thinking this but the iguana is so bad that I am wondering if it wouldn't be better just to let someone buy it not knowing how extremely sick and malnurished it is and let it die within at least 2 or 3 months. Would taking my iguana and explaining that my iguana is younger than theirs and telling them that this is what an iguana should look like and that theirs is unfit to be sold because it needs major medical attention help you think? I have never seen an animal so deformed!!
