I *used* to have a mortar's trough ($5.00 at Home Depot) in my female igs enclosure. Filled 6" high. What a disaster!! For one no siphon...know what that's like carrying a big ole container like that thru the house to change the water...absolutely a mess! Now its a swimming pool for both of em outside!! I have a cat litter pan full of water in each of their enclosures now.
way easier! Feo curls himself up in his and Juana gets in hers and leaves her tail hanging out! Feo is more prone to poop in his whereas Juana rather soak and wait to be let out to use the toilet...go figure. So moral to the story...have a siphon if you are considering anything bigger than a cat litter pan!! Juana's about 4 ft. somethin & Feo's a little over 5ft.
Hope this gives ya a little sumthin to ponder ;O)
