I read about oyster shell suppliments being less than favorable in a back issue of the Vivarium that I still haven't found yet. I *think* it was Frye that was sited. I'm going to be gone this weekend, I'll serach for my old Vivariums Sunday night and see if I can find something definitive to post. I made a by-pass into the health food store today to look at oyster shell calcium suppliments. The ingredients listed were either calcium carbonate, calcium bif-something, or both. NO mention of animal protein of any kind was sited on any of them. Several were packaged as "pure", "no trace lead", etc. I still wouldn't recommend it. *Shrug*
