this is how it started. Last june we had a sudden cold front more in and the wind chill got to the last 2 inches of his tail in fact he almost died,,he was stiff and I put him in a warm bath..and in about 3 minutes he was ok...He was in a 3by3by4ft.homemade cage outside in Nebraska..the first 2 inches fell off shortly after that..then this winter I thought he must have caught it on somethin and it went black and shriveled up and fell off...dry not wet...then when I returned his cage to the outside this summer..it began again..the next 2 or 3 inches just fell off..thanks for all your help iguanamoma..I'll see if I can find a herp vet in rural nebraska...
