Ig with Black scales

Mt foot long Ig started getting these black scales on its tail and top of back legs. ONly certain spots. Like they are dead or something. It eats like crazy. We feed it the same diet that we do to our 5 year old ig but with calcium sprinkled on it. Could it be bugs or something?
