We have 6 male iguanas........one of which we allow to free roam. I think that for Darwin...........free roaming is great. I also think that for the other 5.........free roaming is a bad idea. Like some have said......you don't want to let an ig free roam if it is too small. But even if it is big enough, it really depends on the surroundings. We have 4 dogs, but none of them are a threat to him. We also have two cats(one kitten we just got...twinkie), and they don't mess with him either. we don't really have to worry about poopy doo, as Darwin uses the tub 99% of the time. Some iguanas in general can't seem to handle the stress of all the activity that takes place. For example, when we let Fondue out, he gets totally upset, and tries to bite at everything....including the cieling fan! That's a pretty funny picture, let me tell you!

So in a nutshell, there are many things to consider. take your time, and decide what's best for your ig!
