I live in Venice near the canals.....Did Ryu get this since you've had him or did he have it prior to getting him? Why does this thing sound like a burn from a spotlight or che or? Silvadene is a miracle microbial drug....for gram negative and positive bacteria....used for a multitude of reptile problems...if I could buy it by the case I would.Its so strange that silvadene was not effective. If you can get a pic posted of it I for one would sure be interested. I hear you about A&E Hosp. should not charge you for follow-up ; treating the same problem...but I guess Dr. Ross has bills to pay. One thing you might want to try is putting zinc oxide(like the kind surfers put on their noses) on one part of it,an antifungal (ike Tolfanate, chlortrimazole,miconazole nitrate,desenex)ointment on another and silvadene or any antibiotic ointment on the other and see which one is more responsive to the treatment. It may be a fungal infection. I don't know...you're going to another vet right? Do keep us posted jinx...this one's got me stumped!
