A 90 gallon for Ziggy is not WAY too small. He is 7 but he is very, very small for 7. I know that he is going to grow, and hopefully the new diet will help that. But right now he is all bones. His body is not quite a foot long so 90 gallons gives him lots of space. I live in a small apartment and we plan to move within the next year. Then I will build him an enclosure that is 6' tall by 4-6' wide with lots of branches and climbing opportunities. Since you supposed that Ziggy was a normal sized male, maybe that is why you were so nasty about your reply. But I also had the vice president of our state's herp society look at the iguana and the enclosure and he agreed with me. I also had a telephone consultation with someone who rehabs iguanas and he also agreed with me. The 40 breeder is WAY too small because it does not afford any climbing opportunities. But in the week and a half since he has been here, he has gained a better diet, a swimming pool, and lots of handling. I am sorry that you do not feel that that is sufficient for a small iguana, despite his age.
: :A 90 gallon is WAY too small for a 7 year old ig. No wondr he gets bored with no space to roam around. Built a new enclosure of AT LEAST 5 fold the size of the old one. Bigger would be better. Furnish it heavily with branches of various diameters, ropes to climb and places to go out of sight. Add a large bathing bassin and at least two strong basking spots and your iguana will become much more agile and active!!!!
: 90 Gallon!!! I DO NOT BELIEVE IT!!!!! 40 GALLON IMPOSSIBLE!!!!
: If you want to be an ig lover donīt keep your animal in the tinest kind of jail one can imagine!
