Agree with HD on somethings being unavoidable! Do a tootsie check daily and it should be okay. Be on the lookout also for hair wrapped around toes. Ever look in the bag to see what your vacuum picked up?? Humans shed hair like you wouldn't believe and it is much more apt to wrap around a toe than say dog hair. (My new vacuum cleaner is one of those that doesn't use bags. You'd be amazed at what comes up!)

Which reminds me.....another concern of free-roaming is to be very careful about what's on the floor in the first place. I'm assuming that rocks lick like green igs do as they walk around.
