Janice....welcome and thank you for sharing the information on your ig. The cause of his death is something you or I will ever know. Only a necropsy (a reptile autopsy) can determine that....as you know reptiles are sick a long time before they unexpectantly die...and they usually won't show symptoms until its almost too late. Please don't let your tragic loss stop you from enjoying iguanas or getting another one. Even tho research is still lacking...iguanas these days are living longer in captivity than they were even five years ago! I had two iglets about ten years ago that died, I didn't know one thing about caring for em adequately. I'm trying my darnest to learn everything I can with the two I have now. Please consider rescuing an Ig...we all deserve a second chance!
